A.K. Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, has said that rail projects are getting delayed owing to problems in land acquisition. He was here on Saturday to flag off a special train from Tumkur to Bangalore.Mr. Agarwal said the Tumkur–Chitradurga–Davangere line was announced in 2011-12, but had been delayed following problems in land acquisition. “The project requires 2,975 acres and the estimated cost is Rs. 1,932 crore. The Tumkur–Rayadurga line, announced in 2007, has also been delayed owing to similar reasons,” he said. | ||
