Seventy-two surveillance cameras, procured at a cost of Rs. 7.99 crore, will be commissioned at the Coimbatore Railway Junction on Tuesday.The Southern Railway – General Manager, Rakesh Mishra, and the Salem Divisional Railway Manager, Sujatha Jayaraj, will inaugurate the systems at the Coimbatore Railway Junction.Railway officials said that the integrated security system includes a vehicle scanner, two passenger luggage scanners and one parcel scanner.The existing Anti-Sabotage Team of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad of the Railway Protection Force too will be part of the integrated security system, the officials added. | ||
