Title - Bomb threat on Madurai train found to be hoax

An anonymous call received by Madurai police informing them of a bomb being present in a train running between Tirupati and Madurai turned out to be a hoax.As soon as the call was received at 0330 hours on Sunday, the Madurai police control room alerted railways officials at Chennai, who promptly passed on the information to the divisional-level officials at Guntakal.

Train sanitised:Upon receiving the information, the General Railway Police and the Railway Protection Force sleuths in Tirupati descended on the station with bomb and dog squads and sanitised 16352 Mumbai-Tirupati-Nagercoil Balaji Express and the empty rakes of the incoming Tirupati-Rameswaram Express, both passing through Madurai.
