PATNA: The state cabinet on Tuesday gave its nod for preparing the detailed project report (DPR) for metro rail project in the state capital. The DPR will be prepared by RITES Ltd, for which the government has sanctioned a sum of Rs 2.52 crore. The report would be prepared in six months.In another important decision, the cabinet has given its approval for an expenditure of Rs 2100 crore as part of the state's share for the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan during 2013-14. The approval has been given in anticipation of an equal amount to be paid by the Centre. The state's share would be released from time to time on the basis of money received from the centre.The cabinet, as per the order of the Patna high court, sanctioned an aid of Rs 5,000 per month to the conjoined sisters, Saba and Farah Shakil, daughters of Md Shakil Ahmed of Samanpura village, off Rajabazar.Giving these details, principal secretary, cabinet secretariat department, Brajesh Mehrotra said the cabinet has also finalized the dates of panchayat byelections. The bypolls would be held on July 7 in all districts, except Saran and Siwan, where the byelections would take place on July 24. Elections would take place for 1511 posts, including that of 1027 panchs, 31 mukhiyas, 26 sarpanch, four members of Zila Parishads and 392 gram panchayats' ward members. | ||
