Meanwhile, CISF personnel Jagthe Vinod and Pradeep R too expressed happiness over the introduction of new coach for them.K Jayanth Murali, IPS, inspector general, CISF SS headquarters, Chennai, flagged off the new coach. "CAPF personnel are frequently made to travel for long distances most of the time in classes of their entitlement. Sometimes they are forced to travel by general / unreserved compartments. This leads to an uncomfortable and stressful journey for them," Jayanth said.

Considering the situation, the railways and home affairs ministry have come together to launch a scheme, wherein an AC-III tier coach would be reserved exclusively for CAPF personnel. About 800 personnel and their family will benefit, he said, adding that payment of Rs 1.56 crore has already been made to the railways for the next one year.
