Title - Central Railway to run six special service between Mumbai and Velankanni

MUMBAI: In order to cater to the heavy rush of devotees, Central Railway (CR) has decided to run six special services between Mumbai and Velankanni. According to CR spokesperson the train from Mumbai will run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Dadar station.

The first train - LT-Velankinni - a special train will leave from Mumbai at 11.20 am from Aug 25. It will reach Velankanni the following day at 9.45 pm. The train will take the return journey from Velankinni at 8.30 am on Aug 27 and reach LTT at 10.15 am following day.

Another train from LTT will depart on Aug 26 at 11.20 am and reach Velakini at 9.45 pm on Aug 27. On Aug 28, the same train will leave from Velankini at 8.30 pm to reach LTT at 10 am on day 3. For the benefit of commuters of Western Suburban, a special train has been scheduled from Dadar on Aug 27. The train will leave Dadar at 11.15 am and reach Velankanni on Aug 28 at 9.45 am. On its return journey the train will return in Mumbai on Sept 1 at 10 am after it leaves from Velankanni on Aug 29 at 8.30 am. All these train will have composition of one AC-2 tier, two AC-3 tier, 12 sleeper class, 5 general second class and 2 general second class cum guard's brake vans. Bookings for trains leaving from LTT and Dadar will open from open from July 31 CR has provided at halts at Kalyan, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Gulbarga, Wadi, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Yerraguntla, Cudappah, Razampet, Kaduru, Renigunta, Puttur, Tiruttani, Katpadi, Vellore Cantt., Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Tirupadaripulliyur, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam.
