To clear the rush of passengers travelling to Lucknow from the city, the authorities have augmented an AC 3-tier coach in the existing Chandigarh-Lucknow Express for one month.As per the schedule, the augmentation of the extra coach in the train will be from May 21 to June 30 from Chandigarh and from May 22 to July 1 from Lucknow.Official records revealed that in a majority of the trains, waiting list is above 100 from the next week due to which the temporary augmentation and special trains have been introduced for various destinations.Officials said after May 20 booking in all trains from the region had a long waiting list due to heavy rush. Alter monitoring the demand and sale of tickets, a proposal for new special trains would be chalked out. — TNS
