Title - Clarification on SSLC answer sheets

The Southern Railway has categorically stated that it is in no way responsible for the mishandling of the SSLC answer sheets at the Vriddhachalam junction.In a statement released here, the Southern Railway stated that there had been widespread report in the media on the alleged mishandling of the bundles containing the answer sheets of the SSLC public examinations (Tamil paper-II conducted on March 28) at the Vriddhachalam junction.“In this regard it is hereby clarified that the Education Department has entrusted the script bundles to the Department of Posts. The department in turn had sent the bundles through the Railway Mail Services which is a wing of the Department of Posts and not of the Railways. Hence, neither the railway administration nor any railway employee could be held responsible for the alleged mishandling of the script bundles.” The statement was issued to remove any misapprehension (about the functioning of Railways) created in the minds of the people.
