The East Coast Railway has collected a huge sum of fine for the violation of norms to keep station clean. During the cleanliness and anti-spitting drive in ECoR jurisdiction, 10,372 persons have been fined so far for spitting and littering on the railway premises. According ECoR, an amount of Rs. 6.82 lakh has been collected as fine. It says spitting and littering entails now a fine of Rs. 100 at ‘A1’ class stations , Rs. 50 at ‘A’ class stations and Rs. 30 will be charged at rest of the stations.
