Title - Corrections carried out in Railway website

Southern Railway – Salem Division has announced that the railway website now stands updated with the stations in Salem Division being brought under this five-year-old division instead of remaining under the erstwhile Palakkad division.A release from Salem Division said that it was brought to the notice of the Salem Division that in the Indian Railway websitehttp://www.indianrail.gov.in/pnr_Enq.html, the names of a few stations that fall within the jurisdiction of Salem Division of Southern Railway, were shown against the Palakkad Division.

Website:The website was designed, hosted and maintained by the Information Technology arm of the Indian Railways, Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS).Immediate steps were taken to set the records straight by taking up the matter with CRIS-New Delhi.

Error corrected:Accordingly, the error has now been corrected and all the stations coming under the jurisdiction of Salem Division are now shown correctly under Salem Division, the release adds.
