Title - Duo held for forging MP sign to confirm railway tickets

Two persons, who allegedly forged the letterhead of Rajya Sabha MP and senior Congress leader Karan Singh to get railway tickets confirmed, have landed in the Delhi Police's net.

The crime branch of Delhi Police apprehended the duo - Devender Kumar (31), an NDMC contractor, and Nagesh Kumar (32), a computer operator, - from Sangam Vihar area on Thursday. The accused possessed stolen letterheads and recommendation letters of the Congress leader, which they had stolen from an MP's house in the Capital, which Devender used to visit frequently.

Investigators said Devender used to charge Rs.500 for each ticket and could have managed to get the tickets of more than 70 people confirmed through fake documents in the past eight months. According to police sources, Devender also possessed forged letters of seven other MPs.
