Title - ELECTRICAL SAFETY WEEK OBSERVED ON NORTHERN RAILWAY

In view of increasing demand of electricity o­n Indian Railways, efforts are being made o­n all Zonal Railways as to make maximum use of non-conventional sources of energy to reduce the consumption by 15% by the year 2020 in accordance with the provisions of  Vision-2020 and 28 point energy action plan.


Northern Railway organized ‘Electrical Safety Week’ at Northern Railway Head Quarters, Baroda House, New Delhi from 01.05.2013 to 07.05.2013 to disseminate the information o­n safe use of electricity by the staff while at work as well as families residing in Railway colonies.  Safety seminars were conducted at all the divisions and workshops over Northern Railway.

          A quiz o­n Electrical Safety was also organized o­n 06.05.2013 during a safety seminar held at Headquarter New Delhi which was attended by the staff of carious branches working at Baroda House.  Prizes to the winners were given o­n the occasion.
