Title - Four trains delayed due to overhead cable failure at Chennai Central railway station

CHENNAI: Train services were disrupted for an hour at Chennai Central railway station after an overhead power cable developed a fault at around 9.45am on Wednesday.Three arrivals and one departure were delayed though the fault was rectified soon. A special train from Coimbatore was delayed by an hour while Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Express and Tirupati-Chennai Express were delayed by half an hour. Departure of Shirdi Express was delayed by more than half an hour. Though empty rake of Chennai-Mangalore West Coast Express was brought in late for boarding, the train left on time. Railways are investigating the reason for the snag.
