NEW DELHI: All stakeholders in the ambitious rapid rail network in the NCR on Thursday signed an agreement to set up National Capital Region Transport Corporation to implement the projects. While they committed to extend support for early take off, questions remain on funding and "unresolved" issues on alignment including whether the lines can pass through Delhi.The t cost of three priority lines - Delhi-Panipat, Delhi-Alwar and Delhi-Meerut - was earlier pegged at Rs 72,000, it would cross Rs 1 lakh crore when the DPR would be out in the next 2-3 weeks.The Delhi-Panipat would be taken up first. UP housing secretary Sadakant said financing would be a key issue while Delhi chief secretary DM Spolia said they are yet to discuss it. Union urban development secretary, Sudhir Krishna said that the stake holders need to go for "innovative" financing mechanisms .Spolia said they are in talks with NCRPB on passing of the rail lines through Delhi.
