Title - Good news for Thaneites--- Thane station will get two escalators in a month’s time

Thursday, February 14, 2013 It was recently announced by Railways that Thane station will get two escalators in a month’s time. It is a great and happy moment for all Thaneites as with this facility, people who travel and cross over the bridge to catch outstation trains can use the escalators and move easily to their respective platforms.

This facility will also be a great help to all senior citizens, disabled persons, pregnant women and those ailing from weak bones to move in comfort.

With this improvement in the station, we would expect that there will be a cleaner environment and the escalators also need to be maintained properly. Thane station is improving by the day; a scanning machine was introduced earlier, where luggage is scanned as a security measure. It is a commendable job done by Central Railway; hearty congratulations to them.
