Title - Goods train bogies separated

Sullurpet (Nellore): A major accident was averted when the bogies of a goods train got separated in Nellore district on Friday. A goods train with 60 loaded bogies started from Chennai.

The coupling between the bogies was delinked near Chenigunta village of Tada mandal and the train separated into two parts. Neither the driver nor the guard noticed this and train travelled almost nine kilometres and reached Sullurpet.

The Sullurpet staff informed the higher officials about the incident. They were alarmed immediately as there is a possibility of giving clearing to the trains that travel in the same track. The railway officials immediately send the goods train to Doravarisatram and brought the separated bogies with the help of another engine from Chenigunta. Several trains movement got delayed due to the incident.
