Title - Heavy rush on Mumbai suburban trains due to megablock

MUMBAI: Suburban trains are running packed on main line due to the megablock on Up slow line between Mulund and Matunga stations."It is summer season and most of us are going to south Mumbai or western suburbs to visit tourist spot. But the trains are more crowded than usual,'' said Rajiv Gupta, a commuter from Mulund. The platform number 4 is crowded since 11 am as slow trains are being diverted on the Up fast track."Trains will be delayed by 15 minutes and will be crowded due to the megablocks. Passengers are requested not to take risks and not travel on footboard or on rooftop of local trains," CR spokesperson, A K Singh, said.The railway block will continue till 4 pm on the Up slow line between Mulund and Matunga stations. The Up slow services leaving Thane are diverted on Up fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations halting at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion stations and further re-diverted to Up slow line from Matunga station.

The Up slow line services will not be available at Nahur, Kanjurmarg and Vidyavihar stations during the block period. However passengers of these stations are permitted to travel via Bhandup/Vikhroli/Kurla stations, officials said.
