Title - Ludhiana-Delhi Shatabdi to run daily

LUDHIANA: There is good news for Ludhianvistravelling frequently to Delhi by Shatabdi Express. The railway minister MallikarjunKharge has announced in Rohtak on Sunday that the Shatabdi train between Ludhiana and Delhi will now run seven days a week. The express train will also have a stoppage at Jind in Haryana, the Union minister told mediapersons there. Kharge was in Rohtak to lay the foundation for the Rs181croreRohtak railway bypass line. Says R K Sharma, Station Superintendent at the city railway station: "As of now, the Ludhiana Shatabdi runs on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. On two days, Monday and Saturday, it runs to and from Moga, whereas on Tuesday and Friday, the train plies between the city and Delhi. Now that the railway minister has announced that the train will run on all seven days, it is good news for city residents who travel by Shatabdi."

Meanwhile, residents who frequently travel by Ludhiana Shatabdi are happy over the announcement of the railway minister on the train being made daily.

Says Pradeep Dhall, a real estate advisor of Vikas Nagar: "It is great news for all Ludhianvis, as it will increase the option for travelling to Delhi in Shatabdi on all seven days. It will especially help the business community who face problems due to the inadequate number of fast trains between the city and Delhi."

Though the business community has welcomed the announcement made by the railway minister, they also want that the authorities to increase coaches in the Amritsar Shatabdi which runs through the Ludhiana.
