Kochi: A meeting of the Board of Control of Kochi Metro has decided that the railway network would be completely computer controlled.

Elaborating on the plans, the board said that the Kochi Metro would operate three-coach trains that would be able to accommodate a thousand people per train. They would travel at about 34 kilometers per hour.

The board also decided to seek financial assistance from more agencies and banks and talks are to continue in this regard. Construction related to the project is to start from June 7
