Title - North Central Railway Bagged the Over All Men Team Champion at the All India Railway Gymnastics Cham

For the third time in a row, North Central Railway (NCR) won the Men Team Championship at the All India Railway Gymnastics Championship. Among the Men Team Championship, South Central Railway (SCR) stood in a Second position and Western Railway in Third position. Mr. Ashish Kumar of NCR has won the ‘Individual All Round Championship’, while Mr. Partho Mondal of Eastern Railway and Bharadwaj of South Centrl Railway claimed second and third positions respectively. These winning gymnasts exhibited their high volt talents o­n the vault and rolled like a moving stars in the horizon, mesmerizing the audience.Shri Mahesh Chandra, Additional General Manager, SCR distributed the Shields to the winners of the Championship. Shri. V. Sri Hari, Chief Principal Engineer, SCR, Shri. P.C. Gajbhiye, President, SCRSA, Shri K.V. Siva Prasad, General Secretary, SCRSA, Shri. Vikram Gupta, Secretary, Gymnastics, SCRSA participated.

The championship was hosted by South Central Railway Sports Association (SCRSA) at Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium Railway Sports Complex Secunderabad from 26thto 28th March 2013. Seventy five gymnasts from Seven Railway Zones viz. South Central Railway, Eastern Railway, Western Railway, South Eastern Railway, Southern Railway, Northern Railway and North Central Railway have vied for honours in six events namely Floor, High Bar, Parallel Bar, Vault, Roman Rings and Pommel Horse.
