Title - Now get yearly, half-yearly season tickets for trains

RAJKOT: For the convenience of daily commuters, the Rajkot railway division has decided to introduce half yearly and yearly season tickets from April 1.According to Vinay Babtiwale, Divisional Railway Manager, these tickets will be in addition to the present provision of monthly and quarterly season tickets for all quotas of passengers including senior citizens'."The facility will not only save commuters' time and efforts to renew their season tickets but will also be economical for their daily commuting,'' Babtiwale told TOI.The newly introduced seasonal tickets will be non-refundable."The half yearly season tickets and yearly season tickets shall be chargeable at 5.4 times and 10.8 times respectively of monthly season tickets. This ratio shall be applicable for both first-class and second-class season tickets,'' said an official.Sources said large number of people regularly commute from Rajkot to Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Gondal, Ahmedabad and Junagadh.
