The pre-feasibility report on the Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor (CBIC) has been completed and work is on to complete the detailed master plan during the current year, said E. Ahamed, Union Minister of State for External Affairs on Monday.Delivering the valedictory address at the first Japan-India SME Conference, organised by the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said the execution of the Industrial Corridor would turn Chennai into a central hub for Japanese companies operating in India.While mentioning it was too early to talk about other projects such as high freight rail corridor and bullet train as the pre-feasibility study was completed just a few days back, he said the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor and Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor was making progress.S. Sivagnanam, Additional Investment Advisor, MSME - Development Institute, Chennai called for setting up Information Exchange Bureau to provide information to small and medium enterprises in India and Japan for integrating their co-competencies to move forward. |
