n the wake of the recent stampede at Allahabad railway station, the Pune division of Central Railway administration has appealed to passengers to make use of both the foot over bridges (FOB) at the Pune railway station. With people only using the old FOB, the advisory has been issued to avoid chaotic situation at the Pune railway station.

Around 36 people lost their lives in a stampede that took place at the Allahabad railway station.

Pune railway station had also witnessed a stampede-like situation on the old FOB a couple of years ago. With the old FOB situated near the entrance of the station and the new FOB set up near the parcel office, which is far from the entrance, many passengers prefer to take the old FOB.

Railway authorities have also appealed to passengers to first check the display board to know where the train is coming and accordingly reach that platform.
