Title - Railways to run special trains to carry stranded travellers from flood-ht Uttarakhand

Railways Minister Mallikarjun Kharge today directed the Railways to run special trains to clear the rush of travellers stranded in Uttarakhand where torrential rains over the weekend have caused widespread destruction of life and property.Official sources said the Northern Railway would run special trains from tomorrow from Dehradun, Haridwar and Rishikesh and special ticketing counters would be set up for them.Senior officers of Northern Railway are being rushed to coordinate and supervise arrangements in Uttarakhand.The Railway Board is continuously monitoring situation, the sources added.
