Title - Rain fury: Passengers suffer as trains run late

BHOPAL: Railway traffic in the state continued to remain affected on Sunday after portion of 30-meter long support base of up railway tracks between Magardoh and Barbatpur stations in Betul district was washed away due to the heavy rains on Friday.

Delhi-bound trains coming from the South continued to run late for one to seven hours. The trains that were affected include GT Express, Patalkot Express, Gondwana Express, Dakshin Express, and Andaman Express.

Central railway officials maintained that since the Machna river was flowing above the danger mark, the repair of the track was being impeded.

Officials said that the track would be restored by Monday evening.
