SCR Suspends Three Employees Caught in the Case of False Promise of Jobs in Railways and An Advisory to Job Seekers in Railways
..

Three employees of SCR - Sri S. Krishna, Sri K. M. Mahesh and Sri T. Rajender Kumar who were nabbed by Police yesterday (i.e. 9th July,2013) for allegedly duping some persons promising them jobs in Railways, have been suspended and departmental disciplinary proceedings are also being initiated against them.

The occurrence of such cases involving outsiders and also some of the Railway staff is a matter of serious concern for SCR.  SCR has been campaigning to create public awareness from time to time through Media advising the job seekers in Railways not to fall prey to the false promises being made by any middle men / job racketeers.  Continuous efforts are being made by the Vigilance and Security organization of SCR to keep a tab on such activities through constant watch / raids against suspicious persons. Based on complaints received earlier, suitable disciplinary action has been initiated against four employees and in one case, CBI / Hyderabad has been advised to conduct thorough investigation. Stringent action is being taken against anybody found trying to influence / deceive the unemployed by making false promises of securing a job in the Railways through unfair, illegal and unethical means.

In this connection, it is to reiterate that SCR takes up the process of recruitment of staff as per need in a systematic manner through Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and Zonal Railway Recruitment Cell (ZRRC) only. The Employment notifications are issued well in advance in several newspapers including Employment News.Selection of candidates will be done through a competitive written examination conducted in a foolproof manner under strict supervision of officials. Candidates, who qualify in the written examination are intimated through individual call letters fixing the date for verification of records or medical test or viva voce, as the case may be.There is no scope for any tout / middleman / agent to influence the Railway Recruitment Board or Zonal Railway Recruitment Cell.

SCR makes an earnest appeal to job seekers to note that except through the due process as mentioned above, there is no other way of recruiting staff in Railways.  They should be aware of job racketeers / touts who may try to make false promises of getting jobs in Railways through devious means.  If the candidates or parents of the candidates are approached by any person / middleman / agent including any Railway employee, promising jobs in Railways, they may bring the same to the notice of the Railway administration at the following address for immediate action:

Chief Vigilance Officer, South Central Railway, 3rd Floor, Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Ph: 040-27830516, 27820674 or 9701370053.
