Title - Shailendra Kumar IRTS takes over as DRM/Mumbai/W.Rly

MUMBAI: Shailendra Kumar, a 1985 batch officer of Indian Railway Traffic Services, is the new Divisional Railway Manager of Mumbai Central division of Western Railway.

WR officials said he has extensive knowledge of traffic operations and the commercial department. He is a post graduate in mathematics. “Prior to his appointment as DRM in Mumbai, he was working as (CFTM) Chief Freight Transportation Manager in the Western Railway. He has rich and varied experience of working on several key posts such as CPTM (Chief Passenger Traffic Manager), Central Railway and Chief Commercial Manager (Passenger Marketing), CR among other posts,” said a CR spokesperson.

Kumar also worked as CPRO (Chief Public Relations Officer of WR. He has been trained in HRD management and has also participated in study on commercial development of land & air space. He has travelled to the UK, Australia, Germany & Netherlands on various assignments, the spokesperson added.
