Shri ASHOK KUMAR MITAL, General Manager, South Western Railway released the South Western Railway Safety Magazine “ JAGRUTHI ”in the Safety Meeting held at General Manager’s Office Conference Hall, Club Road, Hubli o­n Monday.This booklet was brought out by Safety Department of Headquarters of South Western Railway.

Speaking o­n the occasion, Shri A.K. Mital, GM/SWR said this Safety Magazine “Jagruthi ”elaborates and emphasizes Railway safe procedures and practices to be followed in day to day working, so as to ensure Safety in Train Operations for Railwaymen. Confidential & Service Register correction slips, Check lists for Inspections of Stations, Cabins, Brake Vans, Track, Level Crossing Gates, Locomotives, Accident Relief Trains, Accident Relief Medical Vans are some of the important subjects dealt in the Magazine. Besides, latest Accident case studies and its prevention methods have also been included in the Safety Magazine, Shri Mital added.He complimented the Safety Organization officials and staff of Headquarters for having done an excellent job and brought out a “Jagruthi ”—a Safety Quarterly Magazine for the usage of Railway Staff and Officers to follow the rules, procedures o­n safety aspects particularly in train operations.
