INDORE: A fortnight after much-talked about Habibganj-Indore double-decker express train trial from Bhopal to Indore, Western Railway officials do not have any intimation of a tentative date for start of regular service. With authorities not knowing about it, passengers have no option, but to wait. The train announced in the last railway budget 2012-13, witnessed trial early this month.Central PRO of Western Railway Piyush Mathur said, "We have completed the process of trial run. There is no information about the date from which double-decker train will start," Mathur added. "These things do take time and we know that government system moves at snail's pace. It is an air-conditioned train and we could have availed the facility in summer. I hope it starts by May," says Atul Soni, a student, who travels once a month to Bhopal from Indore.Young entrepreneur Chanchal Jhanwar, who has an office in Bhopal, says, "After I came to know about the trial run, I was looking forward to travel by it soon. My employees have to travel thrice a week from Bhopal to Indore. If the train starts soon, it will be a relief for us". |
