Title - Union Cabinet to take up metro rail project for discussion

New Delhi: The Kochi metro rail project is all set to be tabled in the Union Cabinet for discussion soon. The Urban Development ministry has already submitted a note for discussing the metro rail project in the Union Cabinet. The cabinet that will meet Thursday is expected to consider discussing the project. Even if doesn't come up for discussion Thursday, the matter will certainly be discussed next week, according sources.

The Union Cabinet's permission is the last hurdle the metro rail project has to overcome towards its realization. Ministries of Finance and Urban Development as well as Planning Commission had already given nod to the dream project.
