Title - 113-yr-old steam engine is the centre of attraction on Shimla - Kalka track

Tourists are lining up to book a ride on Shimla - Kalka Heritage track. The main centre of attraction for them is a 113-year old steam engine which hauls the train over the curvy track. During the journey, this special heritage train crosses at least a dozen tunnels. This seems to attract British tourists a lot.

Around 30 tourists travelled in three coaches connected to the steam engine. The northern railways is offering a ride on the Kalka-Shimla heritage line and bookings are open for the same.

The track was originally developed by Britishers. Shiv Nath Sharma - locomotive pilot of KC520 - the heritage steam engine commissioned in 1906; drove this engine for the first time in 1980.
