Title - New Delhi - Amritsar Shatabdi Express latest addition to Project Swarn

Train number 12029 / 12030 New Delhi - Amritsar - New Delhi Shatabdi Express will be upgraded under Project Swarn. Launched in the month of 2017- project swarn is specifically aimed to upgrade all Premier trains of Indian Railways with better passenger amenities. 

Under this project, Railway will provide significant updates in the following 10 areas to justify higher fares of these trains -

  • Onboard cleanliness
  • Puntuality
  • Coach Interiors
  • Toilets
  • Security
  • On-board entertainment
  • Real time feedback
  • Catering
  • Linen
  • Staff Behaviour 

The first revamped rake of Sealdah Rajdhani under this project was launched on December 29, 2017. This rake got -
  • Complete interior painting for aesthetic appeal.
  • LED lightning
  • Auto Janitor toilets
  • CCTV cameras.
Besides New Delhi - Amritsar Shatabdi Express, 14 other Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express trains were also chosen for makeover.
