Title - Rs. 50 lakh facelift for Coimbatore Junction

Coimbatore junction is the second highest revenue generator of Southern Railway is all set to get a makeover. With an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh, Coimbatore junction will be enhanced for better passenger amenities.

Beautification will be done to the car parking lot and to the front side of the railway station. Anti skid tiles will be laid down as a part of improving passenger amenities. Tiled pavement will be laid down at car parking area besides structural earmarking instead of painted demarcation to provide lane discipline.

The length of Platform 1A is being widened and shelter is also being extended. Passenger lift will be installed at Platform number 3 and 4.
