Title - Three trains from Pune division to get CCTV cameras

In the first phase of CCTV installation in trains, three trains originating from Pune division will be installed with CCTV cameras. As per railway officials, "more details are yet to come from railway board headquarters. However, CCTV cameras will be installed on one Shatabdi Express and two Duronto trains."

Railways are yet to procure CCTVs. Process of installation will soon start once all the specifications will be met. Under Nirbhaya Fund, Pune Division had drawn up a project under which 18 railway stations will get 544 CCTV cameras. On the other hand Indian railways will procure 19,000 cameras to install at 983 stations across the country. This project will cost Rs 500 crore to railways.
