Kokrajhar (Assam) : A bomb exploded on a railway track minutes after the Howrah-Guwahati down Garib Rath Express passed Goabari in lower Assam's Kokrajhar district early on Sunday morning. The anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) is said to have been behind 1:10 a.m. explosion that took place in an area between Gossaigaon and Fakiragram. Media reports quoted local police, as saying that three feet of railway track was damaged by the blast. A two feet deep crater was also created by the explosion. Train services were affected for about five hours after the incident, but there were no reports of casualties. A search operation has been ordered to nab those who were responsible for the blast, media reports said. (ANI) |
