Title - EMU separates, RPF reunites mother, son

The Railway Protection Force staff at the Mambalam suburban station on Monday used the public address system to good effect and helped the mother-son duo reunite after they got separated in a suburban train.

“Visiting the city for the first time, Saroja had inadvertently alighted at Mambalam railway station even as Vijayan was heading towards Beach,” a staff said and added,“Neither of them had a mobile phone.

RPF staff at the station enquired with her and passed on the message to other railway stations. Vijayan, who alighted at the Beach station, heard the announcement and contacted the station staff for assistance. The woman was then put on a Beach-bound train from Mambalam, the staff  said.
