Title - Indian Railway serves rat in biryani

Ahmedabad: Indian Railway's pantry offering unhygienic food is nothing new for passengers. Here comes another serving from Sarvodaya Express and this time, the travelers were treated with a rat in veg biryani.A family from Valasad (Gujarat) while returning from their trip to Vaishno Devi shrine (Jammu & Kashmir) found the rodent in their food, which lead to hullabaloo in the train.Family head Nilesh Patel, a teacher by profession, his wife Veena ordered the vegetarian dish for their two sons. It was their son Monik who found something odd in the dish. On inspecting carefully, it was found that the rat was cooked with the food.About 150 pilgrims from Ahmedabad had ordered the same cuisine. When Patel was asked of his experience, he said, "It was horrifying. We have pledged never to have food from the railway pantry again."The angry passengers confronted the staff and also captured one of the pantry employees throwing biryani on New Delhi Railway station in their cell phones.When the situation went out of control, railway police interrupted the protestors and brought situation under control.The management asked for apology in written from Patel and said that they will compensate if any passenger suffered from poisoning
