Amritsar: A group of passengers stopped the Amritsar-Dera Baba Nanak passenger train at the railway station here today demanding the resumption of the Amritsar-Attari passenger train.The Amritsar-Attari passenger train has been stopped for over a month due to dense fog. Agitating passengers stopped the Dera Baba Nanak passenger train for about 30 minutes and the blockade was lifted only after the intervention of officials of the Government Railway Police.Railway officials said the Amritsar-Attari passenger train used to depart from Amritsar at 6.20 am and after its return the same train was used to take passengers to Pathankot. They said dense fog used to delay the entire schedule. They assured that the train would be resumed immediately after the normalisation of weather.
