Title - Ashok Mittal is in-charge SCR GM

Ashok Kumar Mital has taken over as the in-charge general manager of South Central Railway on Thursday.

He will hold this post in addition to being the general manager of  South Western railway, Hubli. He succeeds GN Asthana who retired on superannuation on Thursday.

Mital graduated in Engineering (Hons), and was an officer of 1976 batch of Indian Railways Service of Stores (IRSS). He was the executive director, vigilance and ED in stores in railway board at New Delhi.

He also worked as chief materials manager in Northern Railway and was controller of stores in SCR and diesel locomotive works, Varanasi.
