Title - Awards, certificates galore at Railway Week function

LLAHABAD: 'Railway Week' function of the Allahabad division of North Central Railway was organised at the NCZCC in which several officers and employees were awarded.

Divisional railway manager Harendra Rao presented a brief overview of the achievements of the various departments and also of the targets and priorities for the next year. He also lauded efforts of the railway officers and employees for work rendered during Kumbh Mela.

For better performance, divisional railway manager presented cash awards and certificates to assistant divisional electrical engineer Neeraj Verma and assistant personnel officer Devendra Kumar. The group award was also presented to Prem Chandra, BC Ram, DK Tripathi, RK Jaiswal and DS Pandey. Personal cash award and certificates were presented to about 171 employees and about 28 group awards were presented in the function. About 29 running shields were also distributed to the different departments and units for better performance.

Divisional railway manager also informed that North Central Railway zone has got the coveted Govind Ballabh Pant award from Union Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal for overall and better performance in the entire Indian railways at a function organized in Mumbai. The running room shield was also provided to the Allahabad division from Union Railway Minister. Railway Minister's award was given to four railway employees from the Allahabad division.

In addition, Allahabad division has also won several awards at the general manager's award function. Allahabad division also got best division shield in addition to about 16 shields in various categories. About 52 officers and employees were also awarded cash awards and certificates at the railway week function at the general manager's level.

During the programme, additional divisional railway manager AK Mishra, senior divisional personnel officer Pramila Singh, all heads of departments and office bearers of women welfare organisation were present. At the end of the function, divisional personnel officer (law) Mukesh Kumar Kulshreshtra presented vote of thanks in the function.
