Mumbai: Many commuters were stuck at CST station on Wednesday evening as a local train pantograph at Masjid Bunder was broken. This had badly affected the local trains towards Kalyan and hit central as well as harbour line.
An Asangaon bound slow local train’s pantograph gets broken while the train was in between CST and Masjid Bunder stations at around 5:41 pm. According to the Central Railway spokesperson, “the slow corridors on main line and harbour line have come to a virtual halt. “The problem was rectified at around 6:45 pm and train frequency is coming back to normal.”
After an hour later, Central Railway managed to move railway traffic from Dadar station and gave some sort of relief to the commuters. Still local trains were late by 20 to 25 minutes.
Further details awaited.
