Title - High-Speed Rail Corridor DMRC to submit study report by Dec

Kochi: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) would submit feasibility study report for the high speed rail corridor, connecting Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod, to the state government by December.
    DMRC is assigned to study the possible alignment of the rail corridor using satellite images.
    The Kochi–Kasaragod stretch of the project is expected to be completed in seven years while the Thiruvananthapuram–Kochi
stretch would be completed in five years. Officials said that apart from Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod, there would be eight stations - at Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Kochi,Thrissur,Tirur, Kozhikode and Kannur.
    District collector PI Sheik Pareeth said that currently the DMRC is entrusted only with conducting the feasibility study for the project.
