Title - IGP Railways asks cops to step up vigil

Jammu: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Railways, Jammu, Kamal Saini today asked the security agencies to remain extra vigilant in view of the forthcoming VVIP visits, Navratra festival and continuous flow of intelligence inputs of terror strike.The IGP, who paid a visit to the Jammu Railway Station, said the security should remain “well knit to forestall” any kind of untoward incident and let no chance for nefarious designed elements to sneak into the vicinity of the Railways Jammu zone.He also advised the security personnel to work in a coordinated manner to keep railway stations in Jammu incident free. He also held a darbar of the Government Railway Police (GRP) jawans and said that a policeman must be polite but firm while performing his duties.SSP, GRP Katra, AK Mahajan, SP GRP Jammu, Shiv Kumar Sharma, DSP Parshotam Mengi, DSP Rajinder Kumar Kitchloo, DSP, Param Vir Singh and other officials also participated in the darbar. He also paid a visit to platform and other vital installations of railway station and held interactions with the representatives of security agencies.
