Title - Kakinada-Secunderabad AC express train flagged off

Union Minister for Human Resources Development M Mangapati Pallamraju today flagged off the Tri-weekly AC train between Kakinada-Secunderabad at a function held at the Town railway station here today. He described it as a boon to the commuters of East Godavari district as it facilitates night travel to the state capital on the lines of Gouthami express ,though it passes through Tanuku, Akiveedu, Kikaluru, Gudivada route up to Vijayawada. He also dedicated the Kakinada new port railway station building to the nation before flagging off the new train.

This train No: 12775 Kakinada town-Secunderabad tri-weekly express train will depart here at 2010 hrs on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday during its onward journey and reaches Secunderabad at 0655 hrs next day.

In the return journey the train numbered 12776 will depart at Secunderabad at 20.45 hrs on Wednesday, Friday and Monday and reaches Kakinada town at 07.15 hrs the next day. Several people including Cocanada passengers association and Cocanada chamber of commerce have appealed to the Minister to arrange halt for the tri-weekly train at Samalkot station for the convenience of the commuters from upland areas.
