Railway Health Services Director General, Dr. V.K. Ramteke, inaugurated the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Ward and neonatal Intensive Care Unit (for mother and child care) and launched the “Medical Stores Inventory Management System Software” at Railway Central Hospital, Lallaguda recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ramteke said that the Railway Central Hospital, Lallaguda is one among the efficient Railway Hospitals in Indian Railways.He called upon the medical practitioners not to compromise on the quality of the medicare being provided at the hospital at any circumstances.South Central Railway General Manager, G.N. Asthana lauded the railway officials for establishing new Obstetrics & Gynaecology Ward and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with much elegance and modern equipments.He exhorted the railway medical officers to rise up to tackle the challenges posed by complicated prenatal and post natal care but also by increasing number of old age and retired employees. S.K. Sharma, Chief Medical Director, SCR, while addressing the gathering, informed that railway board had approved construction of a 80-bed ENT and Geriatrics Ward at Railway Central Hospital, Lallaguda, said the press release.
