ONE HELD FOR SELLING TRAIN E-TICKETS

A. Rajkumar of Palakkad who was arrested by the Railway Police Force for unauthorisedly selling e-ticket was remanded to judicial custody till October 5 by the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court at Ottapalam on Sunday. He was unauthorisedly selling railway e-tickets to mostly business travellers from his house. When he was arrested he had in his possession five e-tickets valued at Rs.3,267 for different trains and destinations in different names. Thirteen e-tickets with fake names and addresses valued at 16,562 was also seized from his office. As there is a ceiling of 10 e-tickets from an individual log-in ID per month by IRCTC, the accused had created 35 log-in IDs, the official.
