Title - SCR Observes 121st Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

The 121st Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar was observed today, by the South Central Railwayat Rail Nilayam Auditorium, Secunderabad.Shri G.N. Asthana, General Manager, South Central Railway who was the Chief Guest lighted the lamp and garlanded the portrait of Dr. Baba Saheb B.R. Ambedkar in the presence of Shri PSN Murthy, Assitant Director General, Unique Identification Authority of India and Shri Sesha Sai, Chief Personnel Officer, S.C. Railway.Shri PSN Murthy, Assitant Director General, Unique Identification Authority of India delivering the Key note address on the occasion, said that Indian Railways was known for its diverse cultures and has brought abouta geographical integration among the masses.He dwelt upon the social amalgamation which is the need of the hour and urged the people to awake and work for a better society in building modern India.Shri PSN Murthy reiterated the need for a building a casteless society so that we can attain a status of equality among the various sections of the people.He stressed the need forbetter Education and build a characterto overcome the trial and tribulations of un-touchability to attain an Intergrated India.

Shri G.N. Asthana, General Manager, South Central Railway in his address stated that the Birthand Death anniversaries reminds us of the great personalities.the works of Dr. Ambedkaramong the various galaxy of eminent men is a great tribute to the him.His ideals and teachings have inspired many to make India a caste free India giving equal opportunity to o­ne and allin every sphere oflife.He said o­n this occasion, we salute the indomitable spiritof this great man in Dr. Baba Saheb B.R. Ambedkar.
