A day after stampede at Allahabad Railway station, more trains are being moved to Allahabad to help passengers come out of Kumbh.A record footfall of more than three crore was seen on Sunday.Talking to media, in New Delhi on Monday morning Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal claimed that arrangements at the railway platform were adequate. It was the crowd, who became uncontrollable.He also announced Rs. one lakh ex-gratia compensation to the next of kin of the dead.Meanwhile, BJP President Rajnath Singh has urged Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to strengthen the arrangements in the city during the Maha Kumbh.He also sought immediate help and relief for the injured and adequate compensation to the kin of the victims.The BJP chief talked to the Railway Minister and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and enquired about the relief and rehabilitation efforts. | ||
