A 24x7 free emergency medical centre was inaugurated at Tambaram railway station on Tuesday.The centre, to be run by Global Hospitals Group in association with Indian Railways, will provide immediate emergency care for passengers.A hospital release stated that a trained medical team will be available at the station at all times. The patient will be assessed by the team and if found to require emergency care, will be moved to the nearest hospital. The centre will have a nursing station, treatment and examination areas and a dressing room.Life-saving equipment and essential medicines to stabilise the patients before moving them to the hospital will also be provided, the release added. | ||
