Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and other dignitaries viewing details of the emblem unveiled on the occasion of the inauguration of the project office of Kerala Monorail Corporation Ltd in T’Puram on Tuesday | Express Chief Minister Oommen Chandy inaugurated the corporate office of the Kerala Mono Rail Corporation at Kowdiar on Tuesday. The office is situated  opposite  Manmohan Bungalow.

 The Chief Minister also released the logo of the monorail corporation on the occasion. Ministers K M Mani,  V S Sivakumar, K Babu and V K Ibrahim Kunju were present on the occasion.

 In Thiruvananthapuram, phase I one of the project will link Technocity to Karamana, a 19-km stretch. This phase will be completed  in five years.

 The Kozhikode mono-rail is estimated to cost Rs 1990 crore and the one at T’Puram, Rs 3950 crore. Meanwhile, police also took into custody four DYFI activists for waving black flags at the CM during the function.
